Group Loans
These loans are designed to meet credit needs of micro-entrepreneurs regardless oftheir gender, literacy level, and business turn-over. This facility shall be extended to finance existing business and not start up micro enterprises.
The minimum loan amount is TZS 100,000 and the maximum loan is TZS 2,000,000. The interest rate per month is 3.5% per month on reducing balance methord. The repayment frequency shall be paid weekly to enable the clients afford small due installments. The repayment period shall be twenty six (26) weeks. Group guarantee shall be the primary collateral substitute in this type of a loan, no collateral are surrended but some home appliances are to be listed on the loan application form.
Eligibility Criteria:
The eligible borrowers shall have the following characteristics:
• Micro entrepreneur who either lives or works in area that is within reach from our
office region.
• Micro entrepreneur who is ready to join and form a group of fifteen to twenty self
guaranteed members.
